Birds in general can't move their eye-balls like humans can, thus doves can only focus on one thing at a time. As it pertains to your faith in Jesus, you must maintain laser focus on Him.
If you don’t keep your eyes on Him you will be easily distracted. Distractions come in many forms and their primary goal, on a spiritual level, is to prevent you from walking in your purpose. You must study and be obedient to His word in order to succeed.
Doves specifically only have one mate in their lives. Jesus should be your first and one true love. He loves you unconditionally and His love is the example you must follow. His love for you is the foundation upon which your love for others is built.
“Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed - that exhilarating finish in and with God - he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever.
