God knows everything about you. Each strand of your hair has been numbered by him. The fact that he is even mindful of such a thing is mind-blowing and a testament of the enormous amount of love he has for you.
When no-one else cares what you’re going through, he knows and more importantly cares about the smallest details of your life. There’s nothing about you that is hidden from him. Accepting that he knows everything about you and still loves you in spite of it all, should help you build and appreciate the relationship you have with him.
Building a relationship with God helps you to grow and become more like him. You don’t have to worry about being transparent with him like you do with family and friends because he already knows everything. Your thoughts and actions are no surprise to him. Even those things you’ve yet to learn about yourself he already knows.
Your prayer should be to embrace God’s unconditional love for you so you can fully accept and love yourself. It doesn’t mean that you are immune to hardships, but that his love for you will never result in abandonment. He is aware and involved in every aspect of your life. Your job is to believe and keep the faith.
