In your relationship with God you will look to him for many things. It is human nature to request the things you need. You will also, undoubtedly, ask for the things you want.
Experience, knowledge and good judgement are all elements of wisdom. In the natural there are many ways to obtain wisdom. But, to be truly wise, you must pray for wisdom from God. Some of you may refer to it as the gift of spiritual discernment. “For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6 (KJV)
To experience your best quality of life it is imperative that you make wise choices based upon sound judgement. The Bible is your source for obtaining such wisdom. Every issue you will face in life is addressed in God’s word. It is your responsibility to study the word and to pray for spiritual guidance on how to apply it to your situation.
When King Solomon had the opportunity to ask God for anything he wanted, he asked for wisdom on how to lead God’s people. Because he did not waste his request on frivolous things, God granted him what he asked for and much more!
