Watch Your Mouth

There are sometimes when less is more. That can be especially true when communicating. It’s easy to get caught up in speaking our opinions, but there are situations where saying too much can create problems.

Watching your mouth is a familiar warning to be mindful about what you say. It’s usually meant to control what one says to avoid offensive language. However, it can also help in situations where saying too much could get you in trouble.

You must ask God for discernment before opening your mouth. Ask him, what you should and should not say.  When you speak, it should be clothed in humility and reflect Gods character. Being an ambassador for Christ requires you to represent Him well.

It is wise to pray as David did: "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer" Psalm 19:14 NLT
