It is a simple request, give thanks in every situation. You may be wondering how you’re supposed to do that when things seem so bad. You can do it because there’s nothing you can go through that God doesn’t already have under control.
In the midst of trials, you must continue to give God praise for all the wonderful things he’s done for you. When praises go up, blessings come down. It’s easy to have faith when things are going well. But your faith only grows when you’re faced with adversity and you continue to trust Him regardless of how things look.
Taking the focus off you and paying attention to the things others are facing around you should change your perspective. It will also help you realize how fortunate you really are.
Things may be bad for you sometimes, but they could always be worse. You should “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV
