God’s Got Your Back

You’ve probably heard the saying, I’ve got your back.” When someone promises to have your back, they’re trying to assure you that they are willing to help you; to look out for you in case you need assistance. These words can be very affirming during challenging times in your life.

You may be one of those lucky enough to have many people watching your back or you could be blessed with only one or a faithful few. Regardless of which category you fall into, their support encourages and strengthens you for adversity.

As 2020 comes to a close, I pray you find solace in knowing that the same God that has brought you through this difficult year is the same God that will sustain you in the days ahead.

I encourage you to walk boldly into 2021 being confident that there’s no battle you cannot face because God’s got your back. In fact, Exodus 14:14 NIV says, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Beloved, you don’t even have to fight. He says you need only to be still. While you’re being still, I encourage you to fast, pray, and trust God to handle the battles in your life. With God on your side, rest assured that you will be okay. The battle is not yours, it’s God’s!
