He Sees Your Tears

The lyrics of an Ella Fitzgerald song say, “Into each heart some tears must fall.” As a believer, you are not exempt from tears and sorrow.

However, David assures us in Psalm 56:8 NLT that God knows and He cares. David puts it this way, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.”

God sees all of your sorrows and keeps a record of them. It’s not a bottle or book in the literal sense, but rather an analogy to express God’s overwhelming care for everything pertaining to you.

You can find peace in knowing God hears your prayers and especially remembers sorrow you have endured for His name sake. Trying to live a life for God can create suffering in your life. Your sorrow is not in vain and every tear you shed is important to Him.
