In order for you to grow spiritually, you must experience difficulty. When you see beautiful roses, they didn’t just show up that way. The gardener had to prepare the soil, sow the seeds, fertilize the land and nurture the plants. The end result is the product of hard work the gardener invested.
Jesus (The True Vine) has to do the same with you. Although he is a loving God, he must cut off that which does not produce fruit and prune what’s left to produce more good fruit. Since you are a unique design, your pruning is specially designed to address the areas in which you need growth.
As a child of God, he has set you aside to bear good fruit and those results will come as a result of his intentional pruning.
Your job is to trust that no matter how hurtful the process of pruning will feel, the outcome will be God’s best concerning you.
“He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. “
John 15:2 NLT
