The Naked Truth

You’ve probably heard the saying, “The Naked Truth.”  It’s used in situations when referring to the total, unaltered truth being told. It’s used when someone is expressing a truth that the listener may not want to hear because it’s considered unpleasant or offensive.

As uncomfortable as the naked truth may be, sometimes it’s necessary to express things in the clearest terms. As with all other areas of your life, the same principles apply when it pertains to your faith walk.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. Hebrews 4:13 NLT

You may be able to fool others and even yourself, but God sees and knows everything. His Word is the mirror used to determine if your character is in line with his teaching. If it isn’t, you probably won’t like what you see.

No matter how you dress things up physically or spiritually to fool others, God sees the naked truth. He is not concerned with your outer appearance. He is concerned with your heart.

In the end, we are accountable to God. The Bible is the  most important tool you can use to measure up to His expectations.  When you look in your Spiritual Mirror, what do you see?  If you don’t like what you see, ask God for help.
