Trouble Doesn’t Last Always

At some point in your life you’ve probably heard, “Trouble don’t last always.” or “This too shall pass.” Although neither sounds comforting while you are going through, another nifty cliche’ comes to the rescue, “Just keep on living.”

In the physical none of these one liners seem to offer much comfort. Thank God we have a spiritual guide which helps us through our difficult days and make us stronger when we come out on the other side.

2 Corinthians 4:17 (NLT) reminds us, “For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!"

Paul’s message and my encouragement to you is that no matter what you’re going through, even your worst suffering is momentary and can’t be compared to the glory of eternity with God.

As easy as it seems to give up on your dreams, goals, family, career or even yourself, don’t. Whatever you’re going through really shall pass and you’ll come out stronger and better on the other side. The key is you’ve got to go through the difficult times to get to the the greater reward God offers. So don’t give up and keep the faith.
