When you are facing difficult times it can seem like your prayers are taking forever to be answered. Having faith in God and knowing that He will always answer your prayers on time, makes getting through these tough times more bearable.
Some things you pray for relate to events in the distant future. Things like a career change, college choice, selection of a mate and the decision to have a child are examples of long range plans with things with significant and far reaching implications.
Sometimes it may seem like the answer to your prayers is taking a long time and you wonder when a change will come. You can rest assured that your prayers will be answered on time, because God is never late. You may not get the answer you want, but you will always get the answer you need.
Regardless of how long you have to wait, when your answer comes it can be like a Damascus Road experience described in Acts 22:6. “And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.”
The response from God can come suddenly and cause a major turning point in your life. The revelation you receive can be like the light described in the scripture above. The light must have been significant considering it could be seen at noon day and had such an impact on the apostle.
While you’re waiting for an answer to your prayers, keep your heart and mind open so you can hear from God. You must also be prepared for His answer because it can come suddenly!
